The Outer Worlds - Assets

I've had the privilege of working on The Outer Worlds with the extremely talented development team here at Obsidian. So most of my time on the project was spent doing Terrain, Vegetation, and world building, however I did get the chance to build some assets as well, consisting of one of the exterior buildings tile sets, the Byzantium interior tile set, and a handful of props.

This is a small ship you will see parked around the game. The shaders are set up to allow color tinting of the ship on an instance level.

The master material was set up to allow for color tinting and adjustments of the grime streaks and the top dirt. Also you can choose from a 1, 2, or 3 colors setup per piece.

I did the modeling for these Greeble meshes. Texturing was done by Daniel Clesi (https://www.artstation.com/clesi) and Ken Lesaint (https://www.artstation.com/klesaint)

This is a modular staircase I built for the Byzantium tile set shown in a non-exploded view. The modules are set up so the staircase can reach any floor height, and also spiral around a room if need be.

Like the exterior tile set, the Byzantium interior set is also set up to allow for lots of different surface properties via material instance settings.
